  • Popular culture continues to change and challenge us for authority and influence over our children. This seminar will help parents develop a strategy for guiding children towards healthy choices in such areas as entertainment, sexuality, substance abuse and technology.

    The decisions kids make today will often affect them for the rest of their lives. We were age 8, 11, 14 and even 16 but we were never their age. Young people experience so much so young. In an MTV generation how can parents deal with the sexual revolution, drug and alcohol revolution, and the ever-changing media revolution including the Internet? This seminar will help parents develop a plan for presenting positive, value-centered sex education, focus on the prevention of drug and alcohol use and abuse, and get a handle on the rapidly changing media and technology. You will create a family viewers guide for radio, TV and movies as well as help make decisions about the type of music that can be listened to in the home. This seminar will also provide parenting insights to help your kid’s navigate through the ever changing culture. There will be plenty of time for practical questions and answers.
