Real Life Answers

My friend wants to follow the Lord, and she asked me to help her.

Question:

My friend wants to follow the Lord and she asked me to help her, what should I do?

Answer:

One of the best things you can do is to share what God has done and is continuing to do in your life. Share with her how you came to know Jesus and what He did for you (and her) on the cross. Share with her the decision you made to follow Christ and surrender your life to Him. Tell her how you made that decision and the impact it has made on your life.

You will also want to help her understand what it takes for a new believer to grow in their new relationship with Christ. She needs to read the Bible, pray, and be involved in a church that teaches the Word of God and serves/loves one another.

You may want to take her to your youth group and help her get plugged into the ministry and life of the youth ministry and the church. One other option would be to take her to a female youth leader in your church, and have her help you talk to your friend.

God is going to use you in amazing ways in the life of your friend. As you love her, and share with her, you'll see God working and changing a life right before your eyes!
