Thanks for contacting us. I don't think there is anything necessarily wrong with any particular style of music. I think what you need to pay attention to is the lyrics: do the words of songs promote Godly values? Another area for you to consider would be the group or artist who is performing the music. What does their life reflect?
We are encouraged in Scripture to glorify God in everything we do, and this would also apply to the things we fill our minds with. We read in Colossians 3:17: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
That is the standard that everything you do should be measured by!
